WE Day Performance
Grace was asked to create a poem about body image for a school dance performance last spring. Natalie choreographed this powerful piece and they have been asked to perform it in front of 16,000 people at WE Day in Los Angeles. The poem was about body image and loving yourself, as well as mental illness and lessons girls learn as they grow up. It was a piece not be missed at the dance show and we are so excited to be invited to share this message to more students at WE Day.
Here is a link to the original performance "Letter to My Future Daughter".
The piece was written and choreographed by high school students and encourages positive body image and loving yourself. WE Day is a day to celebrate youths who have completed local and global actions throughout the year. You can imagine how excited we were to have a group of our students selected to bring their message of positive body image and loving yourself to the WE Day stage. We will also be volunteering at various organizations around Los Angeles while we are there.
We need donations towards lodging and transportation for this amazing trip (and experience) to WE Day!
We are bringing students to perform at WE Day but also volunteer while in Los Angeles. We have plans to make 100 lunches for the homeless at PATH, sort donations at Good+, volunteer at Baby2Baby, visit Thirst Project, and more!
